Comments Petunia stamens were gathered from open flowers taken from 18-20 week old plants. The plants were grown under 400 W sodium lights. They were freely watered and fertilized. The stamens were taken from the flower and placed directly into liquid nitrogen. The stamens included anthers and pollen that remained on the anthers after handling. Note: Mapping of 384 well addresses to monsanto chromatogram names (which appear to follow a 96 well addressing) was not recorded by those who created and sequenced the library. Clone names were guessed by assuming a 384->4x96 well de-convolution identical to the one used by TIGR for the tomato libraries.
